I do not claim to be an expert on Wildlife Safaris in India but definitely I have experienced many kinds of safaris in India and this is what I have to say all about safaris in India. Whether you are in a desert or on the high steep slopes or within the dense forests, the best way to explore off beaten tracks of the natural world is through a safari. India is blessed with some of the most varied and adventurous wild sites. There can be no better way of experiencing life in the desert than through a journey into its hinterland on camel back. Similar experience visitors can enjoy among the grasslands, on the back of an Elephant. Horse safaris are used to explore mountainous regions and Jeeps ideal to explore the interiors of jungles.

Gir National Park and Nehru Zoological Park are the sites for lion and tiger safari. Sanjay Gandhi National Park( Maharashtra) and Parambikulam wildlife sanctuary( Kerala) are other important sites for lion Safari. Kana National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park, Corbett National Park are the important sites for elephant safari. Baharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary, Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary are sites for camel safari.
