Wildlife of West Bengal is quite enticing and this I realized when I actually explored the region. Though located in different zones, the wildlife sanctuaries gave me a very unique yet an experience that was quite alike.

Encompassing one of the world heritage sites - Sundarbans, the West Bengal wildlife increases its importance by many fold. Exploring Sundarbans was one of the most memorable experience I had. It was just like a dream come true. This natural heritage of West Bengal attracts lots of tourists and thus helps in ameliorating the wildlife tourism in West Bengal.

Another important region in terms of wildlife in West Bengal is Dooars. This is one particular abode in West Bengal that encompasses many wildlife sanctuaries within. Few of them that I explored were Gorumoru National Park, Jaldapara National Park. Both of them are famous for housing one horned rhinos and I consider myself lucky that I was able to trace one horned Rhino in each one of them.
