I was not much impressed by this city and the major reason was its chaos. Being the capital city of the state, I expected a lot and some how my expectations were not fulfilled. The place was truly a disastor. The only area that I loved was where Victoria memorial beautified the landscape. This was the only place that I counted in Suburbs. Unlike the chaotic city, this place was equivalent to heaven. But I was quite shocked and amused that my cousin, Natalie, loved the city. She couldn't stop prasing about it. " You know! this city was established in the year 1686 and holds a significant past that is easily reflected in its monuments and architecture." said Natalie "The city of joy has love and warmth, dreams and hopes, agony and ecstasy, magnificence and squalor, guts and glory in equal measure" she added and I was quite surprised by her thoughts. As a part of my exploration, I unearth tourist destination like Victoria Memorial, Howarah Bridge, Eden Garden, Marble Palace. All of them were quite scenic and offered me a lot of scope to actually explore them. |
