Cool and misty environment has always attracted me. And when I came to know about Kalimpong, I couldn't just resist and urged Natalie to take me to this place. " But dear we have already been to Mirik! I don't think so, there is much difference in the two hill station " said Natalie. She was in no mood to cover Kalimpong as she thought it will be just a waste of time. But since I have always been attracted towards the hill stations in general, I some how managed and forced Natalie to travel to Kalimpong.

This was a difficult task as Natalie is quite rigid in his thought and making her do thing opposite to her wish needs a lot of patience and courage. And here I was who planned a trip to Kalimpong. " Please Nat's I came all the way from Europe to see you and you cann't even help me out in my exploration" I said. I almost used all the emotions in order to blackmail and make her say " YES". After a one hour long conversation, Natalie finally said " OKAY! now can we finish with this. We are going to Kalimpong tomorrow. Is it fine with you?" shouted Nataile in full frustration.

Through various magazine, I came to know that Kalimpong is popular for its orchids and nurseries. The resort is quite famous for monasteries and gompas. The monasteries listed were Thongsha Gumpha, Tharpa Choling Monastery, Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brtang Monastery.

I included all these and some other fascinating tourist destination in West Bengal. Though it was difficult to explore these places with not so interested cousin. But then I loved it and surveyed almost each and every part of it. Mangal Dham Mandir , Deolo Hill ,The MacFarlane Church are few attraction that I loved during my voyage.

The sites that I have mentioned are must see and you easily get information about them through a travel agent or any informative web sites. These tourist places are well promoted and thus are of significant importance in Kalimpong tourism.
