This was indeed a very special zone that braught me closer to the mother nature. The region must be explored during your tour to West Bengal.

Another wildlife sanctuary that I explored was Dooars. Though not so famous, Dooars is quite famous amongst the wildlife enthusiasts. Dooars is a heaven for those who appreciate nature's beauty and I was one of them. The widespread lush green tea gardens separated by meandering silvery mountain streams, high Sal forests, small quiet ethnic villages, the great Himalayan ranges in the horizon, blue sky... Dooars has all that wanted by every discerning travellers. Dooars is famous for its rich bio diversity and forests. The most notable of which are Gorumara National Park, Jaldapara Wild Life Sanctuary and Buxa Tiger Reserve. Totally I could not believe that a place could be so beautiful as Dooars. Though small, yet so big... this was Dooars. In Dooars I had the opportunity to explore the Jaladapara Wildlife Sanctuary and Gorumara National Park. I also came to know that Dooars derived its name from Door as it is considered the getaway to the North East India as well as Darjeeling Sikkim region. As a bliss, Dooars fulfilled my the desires of my eyes craving for beauty. |
