From Anjuna beach, I headed towards another enthralling destination the Vagator beach in Goa. Vagator beach is 22 km from Panaji and is situated at Bardez taluka. Vagator is attractive little bay between rocky headlands with series of small beaches. Oh! yes, I also explored the Chapora fort designed in red stone. My guide Adeesh told me that this fort is 500 years old Portuguese fort. Vagator is near by Chapora, a fishing village. They both boost several markets that are mostly selling fish. Both the villages are rich in rural life. Bare feet stroll on the white sands of the beach with the mesmerizing warm setting sun and the gentle breeze carrying little drops of the salty water from the sea; its a dream come true. A complete paradise on earth. My escort, Adeesh told me that there were not much hotels to resort to. The place boost few guest houses. |
