Exploring the rugged mountains of this mystical region was all together a different experience. |

Well, when I enrolled myself to the trekking, I was quite confused between trekking and mountaineering. But on my visit to Uttaranchal, I actually came to know the difference between the two. Whoof!!! the two were phenomenaly tiring but equally exiciting. I think that it is excitement that gives trekkers the energy to excavate the natural world. Mountaineering is more technical in nature and entails technical data , weather reports. I had my best time while trekking in Valley of flowers as I happened to see the exotic flora The land ablaze with a exotic variety of flowers fluttering in the gentle breeze that wafts their fragrance abroad, set amidst majestic snow clad mountains that stand in bold relief against the skyline. After trekking, I tried my hands in mountaineering, it involved much more time than trekking as much facts had to accumulated. I cannot breathe properly reported one of my group mate as he couldn't tolerate the high altitude. Mountaineering was all together a different experience from trekking. In mountaineering we were told to conquer the peaks of the high mountains while in trekking the path was much smaller. Gangotri region in Garhwal Himalayas offers rock climbing oppurtunity that enabled me to understand the rugged mountains. I took a NIM trained instructor, climbing equipment from GMVN |
