My visit to Mussoorie has been a past, but its memory still remains. How can I forget those picturesque views of the snowcapped Himalayan peaks, those hill slopes covered with pine trees, all those flowers blooming in profusion ! I have never known such a place as beautiful as this Queen of the Hill stations. The ropeway ride to Gun Hill, the second highest peak of Mussoorie, the horse rides and solitary walks on the Camels Back road, the water falls thundering down the mountains, snow view from Childers Lodge, the highest peak in the hill station- all were very exhilarating. The journey from New Delhi itself was full of treats for my eyes. And when I reached there it was just as if I had set foot on the Elysian Fields! As the sun breaks above the ground I would look out through the window of my room and see the enchanting visions of the Himalayas which the morning brings with it. As I behold visions of Mussoorie now, somewhere in my heart I miss those few moments which I had spent in the hill station. Im filled with a longing - a desire to be there again. |
