Though this temple was not that popular as the Tirupati Balaji yet it was significant on Tirupati landscape. The temple is 5 kms away from Tirupati and is the best to be explored on your Tirupati tour. The Padmavati Devi temple is located north west corner near the Kokila river. The historical importance of this temple is still strong as it is still believed that Goddess Padmavati was still alive and protects the prosperity and happiness of Panna. This temple proclaims to be the largest temple dedicated to Goddess Padmavati and is also known as Alamelumangapuram. I did not spend much time here but yes, I did appreciate its beauty. In fact any body, on earth would love to do that. The architecture of these South Indian temples is such that you can easily get enticed. " This is a beautiful temple but why the number of tourists here are less. " I asked my guide. ' Sir, it is a matter of faith associated with the temple." he replied. No questions on that! Faith is some thing which is above all bars. |
