When in Tamil Nadu, one just cannot miss the beaches of Tamil Nadu. The beaches were serene, sensual and exotic looking. It was a pleasure for me to explore the beaches that beautified the landscape of Tamil Nadu. Sparkling with blue water, Tamil Nadu beaches offered all that what was desired by tourists.

As a part of exploration, I toured beaches like Marina, Mahabalipuram, Kanyakumari and Pulikat beach. To decide which was better was difficult, but as a whole I liked Kanyakumari and Mahabalipuram Beach. Kanyakumari beach is a beautiful sight with multi-coloured sand,but my only regret was that it does not really offered the opportunity to sunbathe on soft golden sands, or to frolic in the waves either.

Although Marina beach had many tourist spots to explore but it was not as good as I thought it to be. And the major reason was non maintenance. Although one can visit Marina beach once. In fact the major tourist spots in Marina beach were Aquariums and Anna And MGR Samadhis. Counted in one of the longest beaches in Asia, Marina beach is a major attraction for tourists visiting Tamil Nadu and Chennai in particular.

Another beach that I explored was Pulicat Beach. It is saline shallow water spread formed by the confluence of Backwaters, Pullicat Lake and Buckingham Canal. The beach is situated on the northern end of Tamil Nadu. A Dutch cemetery of 17th century is located here.
