Dunes Of the Sand!
As I enrolled myself to the desert Safari, I came to know a lot about the sandy desert. The Thar desert spreads over four states in India- Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat. “ There are so many lizards here” I exclaimed. “ Ya! You will be surprised to know that Thar desert supports 23 species of lizards and 25 species of snakes” replied our guide for the safari.
“ Amazing! How do these animals survives in such condition?” I asked. The guide told us all these animals were well adapted to their environment. He also informed us that the area turned into a desert recently around 2000 B.C -1500 B.C.

I store some of the most memorable experiences in the safari that crossed Thar desert. The unique atmosphere, the beauty and the silence of the desert was something that I never experience before. The Sand dunes at Jaisalmer were another amazing site that left me spellbind.

The desert camp in a small village completed everything I wanted . I can never forget my stay in the camp, as I slept on the sand dunes gazing at the sparkling stars above me. In fact I enjoyed the mystical romance of the night, that kept me engrossed in thoughts of the golden sands.
