This was my next destination after Bharatpur. Still I was escorted by my guide, since he was a reliable person to provide me with the genuine information about the place. The place is 107 km from Jaipur. Before actually entering the park, we had to make arrangements for our entry pass available at the office of field director

Covering an area of 800 sq Km, the Tiger reserve is less commercialized and boost less tigers. My guide, Ranvir told me that Sariska was declared a sanctuary in 1955 and a national park in 1979.

I was quite impressed by the landscape of Sariska that comprises of hills and narrow valley of the Aravali hill range. Ranvir showed me the Silserh lake that lies along the edge of the Sariska Tiger Reserve, a common ground where wild animals come to drink water.

“ Where are the tigers?” I asked inquisitively. “ There are less tigers in Sariska and it is difficult to find them” replied Ranvir.

“ I think that's Sambhar” said Ranvir. ' It's is one of the species of deer.”informed Ranvir.

He told me that the Tiger reserve also endorsed other bird life that comprises of Pea Fowl, Harbors quail, golden backed wood packers and many more. He told me that the best time to visit Sariska is from October to June.

Well I snapped a lot of photographs of my wild friends from the hides carefully located near the waterholes. This was a good method to be close to the wild animals and it made my task much easier.

I also explored the ruins of 17th century Kankwari castle, Neelkanth Temple and glorious Paandu Pol waterfalls.
