Apart from world famous Dargah of Moin-Ud-Din Chisti, Ajmer offered me many more enchanting place that were unique to explore!!

I had to visit Ajmer in order to view the world famous Ajmer Shrief, the dargah of Moin-ud-din-Chisti. It took me around 3hrs to reach the place as it is 132 km from Jaipur. After exploring the dargah or the resting place, I had time to actually venture out in the city and to know more about the place. But for that I had to call my guide, Ranvir, who was came there within 1 hr. To be frank, he was a great help to me in my tour to Rajasthan as without him I won't have been able to know the grandeur past that the enchanting abode boost.

Ranvir told me that Ajmer was founded by Rajah Ajai Pal Chauhan, a Rajput King, in the 7th century."Sie, as you have payed your homage to Ajmer Shrief, it must be clear to you that Ajmer is a Muslim pilgrimage center on the shore of Ana Sagar." he said. " Till 1193 A.D., Ajmer used to be a major center of the Chauhan power when the rajput ruler Prithviraj Chauhan lost it to Mohammed Ghauri." he added.

As we were crusing the city, my escort informed me that Ajmer is a well linked place with nearest airport at Jaipur. " Sir, it is well connected through road and rail, and you can also see the conveyence within the city is also not bad" he informed.

Exploring Ajmer!
Apart from Dargah of Khawaja Moin-Ud-Din- Chisti, the shrine of Khawaja Moin-ud-din-Chisti, a medieval sufi saint. I explored. Adhai Din Ka Jhopda. "Sir, initially it was a Sanskrit college that was destroyed by the Mohammad Ghauri and was converted into mosque in just 2 and half days and hence it was named after the situation." informed Ranvir. This is one of the very old mosque in India built in 1193 AD and is a great example of Indo- Muslim architecture and then the Museum that was once the royal residence of Emperor Akbar ,the museum houses a rich repository of the Mughal and Rajput Armour and exquisite sculptures.
