Do's
and Don'ts of Palace on Wheels |
Be Cautious! As soon I landed on the Palace on wheels, I was handed few brochures informing me about the train and the route it is going to take. As I was going through them, I found one pamphlet that incorporated the Do's and Don't of the journey. It was written that one shouldn't buy the tickets to this train through an unauthorized travel operators or strangers. Traveling tips!! Since my friends had been to India, I was conscious while going on to shopping. I especially remained aloof from the touts and brokers that are mere cheats and try to take advantage of foreign tourist. The shopping involves great bargaining especially in Jaipur and Agra markets, since the shopkeepers ask for phenomenal prices. The Government of India is quite efficient to hear the problems of the foreign tourists, In fact the government takes prompt actions against any mischief done to a tourists. If You feel that you are being abused donot hesitate to consult the proper authorities. Prior to our Journey, instructions were given that the bills should be payed in cash or travelers check. Moreover I was very particular about reaching the Delhi Cantt at time as the train leaves the station on time. While on the Journey, its advisable not to get down the train. |
