Orissan wildlife gave me an oppurtunity to actually explore the beauty of flora and fauna. |

I have always been fascinated by wildlife sanctuaries but I don't know - was it destiny or something else that I was not able to explore any till the time I entered the two exciting wildlife sanctuaries of Orissa. I was completely awe struck and what I enjoyed the most were the safaris in the two. Yes! these safaris were just great, especially the Lion Safari in Nandankananan Tiger reserve was the best. Though one can read a lot about them in any book or magazine but the actual fun is when you experience them. If Nandankanan is famous for White Tigers, Simplipal is popular for Lions and Chilka for Dolphins; can you just imagine a place where you can find such a diversity. National Geographic have acknowledged Orissa as a place best known to accommodate Tigers and Lions. Apart from these three, there are some other unknown sanctuaries which I didn't explored, mainly because I didn't had that much time. If I had time, I would have loved to cover the exotica of the state. Sunabeda Wildlife Sanctuary, Satkosia Gorge Wildlife Sanctuary, Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary are the not so known conservation park that beautifies and does a phenomenal job of conserving and raring the fauna. |
