Lots have been said and written about Orissan Cities. But if you actually have to experience it then you need to travel to Orissa. Each city carries an essence associated with the state yet it is so distinct. Some of the famous cities of Orissa are Puri, Cuttuck, Konark and Rourkela.

Where Puri houses the famous Jagannath Temple, Konark is known for the Sun Temple. Yet modern city of Orissa, Rourkela is popular for its Steel Plant, the Orissan cities reflects the great amalgam of heritage and modernity.

Each city has unique flora and fauna to boast off. The cities endorse a heritage worth exploring. You can take a glimpse into their world by actually exploring the many facets of the land. The worth experiencing is the culture of Orissa. The dance and cuisine of Orissa makes the state a place worth exploring.

The first city on my Orissan trail was Puri. The place around Jagannath Temple is quite clumsy and is surrounded by number of small hotels and shops. Later I covered cities like Cuttuck, Rourkela, Bhubhneshwar.

I collected more information on Orissan cities from net and books. This helped me a lot as I had a bit of idea about each city I was exploring and enabled me to grasp more and more information on the dynamic cities.
