Films have always attracted me and but watching a Hindi movie was something that I never thought. Although I have seen movies like Lagaan, Monsoon Wedding but I never got the opportunity or you may say I never liked the idea to watch the typical masala movie (Masala movie in India is full of song and dance, sex, fight).

Since I was in Mumbai, I could actually feel the importance of hindi movies in Indian culture. In fact, they play a quite an important role in Indian household. People wear, behave, enact what there favorite actors or actress does. Every Friday a movie comes and turn the affect the fortune of the producers. The famous actors in India are Amitabh Bacchan. He is the same guy who had his wax model at Madame Tussaud's in London, UK and he has been selected actor of the millineum and Sharukh khan who has great friend following abroad. This I came to know through a person who has been in this industry for last many years.

As I spoke to the person who has been there in Bollywood for last 30 years, he revealed many facts about the film industry.He told me that in 1931, India made its first talkie, Alam Ara. In Hindi, this film not 'only talked but also sang and danced', heralding what is now often alluded to as escapism. Alam Ara also established Bombay as the hub of Indian cinema. Popularly known as Bollywood, the industry provides earning to many people who throng to the place from all over the world.
