For the past few years, I have made Mumbai my home. In these years I have explored many places of Mumbai. Beaches form an important attraction in Maharashtra. The state is blessed with some of the fine beaches of the country. Maharashtra also has fine beach resorts that add to entertainment value of the beaches of Maharashtra.

Juhu beach and Chowpatty beach are the two most frequented beaches of Mumbai. During the day these beaches give a deserted look but in the ecvening I have never seen these beaches devoid of activity. As the sun starts setting, people start thronging to these beaches and within few minutes the beach gets filled with colorful scenes. Madh Island Beach and Marve-Manori-Gorai are popular for night beach parties. However, I like the lesser known and less frequented beaches of Dahanu-Bordi, Kashid and Nandgaon. These beaches are away from the noise of cities and provide a space to those in search of lonely moments. Tarkarli,Velneshwar and Vengurla - Malvan are other beaches of importance.
