Now, this is an interesting
piece of monument to watch. At first glance you might just get confused.
Yes! confused! And the reason why I am saying this will definitely be
agreed by you. Bibi Ka Maqbara is a replica of Taj Mahal, in fact a poor
resemblance to one of the seven wonders of the world. The structure of
the monument is built on the similar line to that of Taj Mahal and was
erected by Aurangeb son, Prince Azam Shah in memorial of her mother
Rabia. Since the monument is just 5 km from Aurangabad, it became a part of our excursion tour. The most enticing is the architecture of this monument and it holds the ability to lure many tourists. Dating back to 1678, the edifice beholds the glory of the past. It stands in the middle of a spacious and formally planned garden, some 457 by 274 metres, with axial ponds, fountains, and water channels, many defined by stone screens and lined with broad pathways. The garden is enclosed by high crenellated walls with bastions set at intervals, and open pavilions on three sides. But one thing that I would like to mention is that it fascinate many travellers and thus make it a good tourists spot to explore. |
