Going to Panchamarhi was not my decision. It was decided by my wife Rinnee. She came to know about Panchamarhi, when we were in Bhopal through another foreigner who had already visited Panchamarhi. " See, Panchamarhi is not that great but a visit to this place will definitely be good." said, Alice, the foreign friend who we met us on our Bhopal tour.

" But how will we go there? " asked Rinnee. " Oh! that's not at all a problem." said Alice. She was the one who informed me about the nearest railhead - Pipariya (47 km) on the Bombay-Howrah(via Allahabad) line. The nearest airport is Bhopal (195 kms), connected by regular flights with Delhi, Indore, Gwalior and Bombay. State transport bus services are available from Bhopal, Nagpur, Hoshangabad and Pipariya.

Being the most verdant jewel, Panchamarhi is a place where nature has found exquisite expression in numerous enticing ways. Green shades embrace the mountains, and everywhere is heard the gentle murmur of flowing water.

Apsara Vihar, Priyadarshini, Jamuna Prapat, Irene Pool , Jalawataran,Sunder Kund, Choota Mahadeo, Pandav Caves, Catholic Church are few tourist spots to mention that beautify the Panchamarhi Canvass. Since, we never planned it on our tour, so we had to really fast on our exploration. With in 6 hrs, we covered atleast 3- 4 tourist spots. But then whatever time we spent is memorable as it had really enhanced our tour million times.
