On my tour the most fascinating aspect were the people. I was quite impressed by their warmth and hospitality. Frankly, we were, my wife Rinnee and I, were quite overwhelmed by their culture and traditions. They believe that Guest is God.

As we explored different cities, we found more or less same kind of people. But what was interesting to note was that more than 20 percent of the people in Madhya Pradesh belonged to schedule tribes. Now, this I came to know through a book on Madhya Pradesh tourism.

Another information that I retrieved from the book was that Madhya Pradesh has four agro-climatic zones, and thus, has the most interesting mix of people and ways of life.

Becoming a part of Madhya Pradesh festivals were all the more fun. Fortunately we, Rinee and I, became a part of the most enticing festival of Madhya Pradesh - the Khajuraho Dance festival. Falling between 25th February to 2nd March, this was one of the most exotic festivals of Madhya Pradesh that we ever attended. In fact, being a part of the one festival was enough for us to understand the splendor of Madhya Pradesh.

And if I have to talk about food then it was mind blowing. Irresistible delicacies that will make definitely be a treat for us as we never expected the food to be so great.

Honestly, our tour to Madhya Pradesh was an experience by itself. The lovely people, mouthwatering dishes and the impeccable culture brought all together a new meaning to our journey.
