On our visit to Madhya Pradesh, Rinnee, my wife and I explored many tourist places. Unaware of the plethora of choices, the monuments of Madhya Pradesh left us spell bound. Exploring different cities brought us closer not only to culture but helped us to unveil the exquisite monuments of Madhya Pradesh. Some of the monuments that we explored were Bhimbetka Caves, Khajuraho Temples in Khajuraho, Jahaz Mahal, Stupas in Sanchi, Jai Vilas Palace in Gwalior and many others. The first monument that we explored on our Madhya Pradesh tour were Khajuraho Temples. Since Rinnee and I came on a honeymoon trip, Khajuraho Temples became our obvious choice. Depicting the scenes from Kamasutra, the temples were excellent representatives of exquisite craftsmanship. The architectural beauty of the ethereal images at Khajuraho temples is a cryptogram for art historians and a main source of attraction world wide. I vividly remember my tour to Bhimbetka Caves, the legendary caves depicting the magnificent past. Lying close to Bhopal, this caves astound us with the beautiful paintings. Endorsing every panoramic detail, these paintings in over 500 caves depict the life of the prehistoric cave dwellers, making the Bhimbetka group an archeological treasure, an invaluable chronicle in the history of man. Rinnee was quite enthralled by all the monuments and snapped many photographs. Today, these photos act as a remembrance of time that we spent in Madhya Pradesh. The monuments that we explored were great and added great moments to our memorabilia. |
