Adventure was something that attracted me to join travel department in AFJ media house. Well, people had always known me as an audacious young man who dares to do anything. I am the one who had covered many stories that involved both thrill and adventure.

The Adventure To Sport!
From very beginning I knew I had to cover the adventurous sports in Ladakh and believe me! I was waiting for those days to come. The first thing I did was to enroll myself to the Jeep Safari. In fact, this is something that I think is a must in any itinerary, as it is an easy and comfortable way to cover places. It was interesting for me to know that special Jeep tours are arranged that take tourist to the places of interest. Arrangements for meals, accommodation, guides are meticulously planned and executed. As I got enrolled to one such tour, I also got acquainted with the fact that for this the tour operator or the person has to take an acclimatisation and inner line permit.

The next thing that I tried is quite unique to the place, The Yak Safari. Yak, a wild ox, is the largest animal of this cold desert.. We all were perhaps were quiet prepared for this adventure except for one Laveena, my anchor for the travel programme. “I won't sit on this “ screamed my model, Laveena ."Come On Laveena, It's going to be fun" as our crew member encouraged her. And it was really difficult for us to make her seat on the poor Yak back who waited for half an hour, watching the antics of the young model. Well I was memerized by the picturesque lakes, glacial valleys, gurgling streams, cascades, chiselled snow peaks, meadows, forests on yak that gave me a lifetime experience. It offers breathtaking views of high peaks of this rugged land.

The next sport I tried was cycling, and this was something that I did alone. Most of my crew member opted out, as it involved a high level alertness, activity, accuracy and grace.

Cycling at all levels can be a welcome experience. In Ladakh, one can visit many of the fascinating Buddhist Gompas on the way while cycling through charming local villages, all with the backdrop of the snow-capped Himalayas.

One of my friends told me that river rafting In Ladakh is a phenomenal thing to be experienced. And no doubt it was the most exciting sport that i tried on this land. Well, I actually felt as if was cutting the water and racing ahead.Well I chose Zanskar river along its spectacular course. This is considered to be the most difficult and exciting water rafting.

In addition to this I also tried trekking, mountaineering and Camel safari. All together I spent a wonderful time trying the adventure and shooting for them.
