Oh! today, I am very proud of my decision that I went to India, a land of culture and heritage. India is a rich land which has attracted invaders from Central Europe and Asia who left their imprint on this land, its religions and its lifestyles over 40 centuries. As a result, today, Indian celebrates more festivals than any other country. Apart from the regular festivals, India also boost many fares that attracts tourist from all over the world. Fortunately, I had been a part of major fairs in India. Since I visited India in the month of November, I became the part of the famous Pushkar fair in Rajasthan held in that month. The pulsating beats of vivid images of the Sacred Brahma land, (Pushkar boost the only Brahma temple of the world). Spectacular fair ground with bedecked Camels, decorated cattles, competitions, enthralling events, jostling rustic crowd, meditating sadhus, holy dip, vivid stalls, exotic fair, colorful desert all make the Pushkar ground special and lures tourists. And then the famous Kumbh Mela that is well known in the world. To be frank, I was quite shocked to see the crowd that occupied every bit of the land. Interestingly, Kumbh Mela is held for four times every year at different places. It is a sacred pilgrimage that takes place at four places- Prayag (Uttar Pradesh), Haridwar (Uttar Pradesh), Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh), Nasik (Maharastra). Apart from religious fairs, India also boost trade fairs, especially the one that is held in November- International Trade Fair, at Pragati Maidan that starts from 14th November till the end of the month. This fair is of its own kind as many international countries are welcomed to boost their products. It also becomes a launch pad for many Indian countries to show their product to international market. |
