When I came to India, I was quite prepared to face the diverse weather
conditions that India boost. As I went through net, I got aquainted with
the fact that the Indian subcontinent has eight climatic zones and
significantly all of them have just monsoons in common. And, It was
quite astonishing for me to know that even the monsoon comes to
different parts of the country at different times.
India have such a varied temperature zone that with in a couple of
hours, one is able to see a drastic tempearture change from the cold
crisp air of the mountains to the burning dry heat of the Rajasthan
Desert. So, I braught every kind of clothes that I could- clothes to
beat the summer heat and clothes that could protect me from cold waves.
The Punjab, Haryana and parts of western Uttar Pradesh suffer from
drastic extremes in climate. It can be very cold from December -
January, very dry and hot from the end of March till June, very hot and
humid till the monsoons arrive from July through September. The
temperature zone between north India and south India is quite varied.
