Engaging in any kind of water sports on the water bodies of India is a fulfilling activity. Nowhere in the world does water sports come up with so much of bonuses like natural settings, fresh air and serene surroundings.

My recent quest to know about the water sports in India has surprised me. I my ardent desire to know about India and adventure options in India, I rummaged through the shelves of libraries and other sources of information viz internet, brochures by Ministry of tourism and books in the market.

I am totally surprised to know that India like its diversity in population, religion, languages etc, India has diverse water sports to attract various travelers. Next time, if anyone asks me for synonym of Diversity, I will say India.

The pulsating coastlines, golden beaches and swift rivers in India offer water sports of any kind that water freaks desire. The innumerable fresh water streams and lakes in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are ideal for angling and trout fishing. The coastal regions provide excellent opportunities for water sports like water skiing, wind surfing, yatching, snorkelling and scuba diving.

Sailing, Yatching & Surfing
Surfing is one of the best sports when it comes to making a splash in water and the craze of this water sport is fastly catching up as a favourite beach water sport in India. The water sport of sailing is like an idyllic cruise where you can play with the winds, crossing seas and get to know nature in a better way. The pleasure of yachting in India will tempt any yachter to repeat his Yachting experience again, to explore yet another stretch of coast and to relive the luxurious pace of life on the sea.

Canoeing & Kayaking
The golden sand beaches along the Indian coastline and the lakes situated in the North and the Northeastern Indian states offer some excellent facilities for water sports for adventure seekers. Kayaking is just like backpacking on an off beaten path, except that this time your adventure is on the sea. This spot provide the best opportunity for sports lovers to come close to nature.

In fact, one of the my friend who visited Goa has written about the water sports in Goa. He told me how much fun he had while trying the various aqua sports.

After exploring air, water, snow and land, it was time for me to cover the great Indian safaris. In fact, I had some idea about safaris through my ex-pen friend. Many a times, he had spoken about the Indian Safaris in his letters and probably the inquisitiveness to know more has forced me to enroll safari.
