There is no place on earth that has as many adventure options as India.
The vastness, geographical diversity, seasonal variety of this country
offers year round destination. There are beach sports, mountain
adventures, river rafting options and many other adventure options that
a traveler desires.
I have been to this amazing land many times and every time I come here,
I dont feel going back to my place. Being a trekking buff I have
explored all trekking options in India. My father is a compulsive
trekker. It seems that trekking is in our blood. I have always shared my
trekking experience in India with my father. But this time, I want to
share it with you all. I know, it is difficult to comprehend my
adventure in few words.
The Main trekking centres in India are Lahaul, Spiti, Kullu and Kangra
valleys in Himachal Pradesh. I hold special memories about this place as
I had lot of fun while trekking the routes. Oh! yes, you people have
more to read about the exotic Himachal Trekking through the eyes of the
another explorer, Jackie in
trekking
in Himachal Pradesh.
Nowhere else in the entire world is there a feature as prominent as the
Himalayan chain, with some of the world's highest peaks, stretching
3200kms. Himalayas are considered among the world's finest and greatest
trekking grounds. The mountaineering & trekking season roughly runs
between April and November, but some routes are only open for a couple
of months, each year.In fact, I have a travelog written by Arnold who
has shared his experiences of Himalayas in
Himalayas trekking.
Garhwal in Uttaranchal, Zanskar range in Jammu & Kashmir, Kulu &
Lahaul Valley in Himachal Pradesh are the treks that are most
challenging. But among all trekking options in India I love to trek in
the land of Himachal Pradesh. There is something in this land that
attracts me to it. No matter how many times, I have been to this land, I
always want to return to this land to have a meeting with my friend- my
dear mountains. In order to understand the beauty of the enchanting
Garhwal, you can go through a travelog
Garhwal Trekking. In
fact, My dear friend, Paul, has listed some of the
famous treks in Uttaranchal.
Jammu and Kashmir ia another enthralling destination that have trekking
to endorse. If you want to know more about Jammu and Kashmmr trekking,
you may go through trekking in Kashmir I had a blast while exploring the
treks of Kashmir
While on my trip to India, I tried almost all the region that offered
trekking. In fact, how can I forget, my non-stop journey from Manali to
Rohtang Pass. Manali to Rohtang Pass is a 51 km stretch. Stopping at
Rohtang Pass to peek into the valley of Gods is a real thrill. Trekking
from Manali to Rohtang was not easy. The sights along the way keep you
so engaged that you forget about the struggle of your limbs. It was pure
fun as I was able to hear the sweet cries of bulbuls and sparrows
ringing in the air. The spectacle of the snow capped peaks,
pine-forested slopes, and lush meadows of wild flowers that grow in this
land are unequalled.
After trying the venturous trekking across the nation, I headed towards
trying another dangerous but enticing feat---aerosports.
