But to believe me, You have to be with me and enjoy these rides while exploring colorful India." These were the contents of the mail, I received from my ex-pen friend two years back. I have used ex-pen friend because now he no longer remains a pen friend. We have become good friends and I have explored much of India in his company.

Personally, I feel safaris are the ideal way of exploring the Indian land. In fact, Safaris have added excitement and fun in the journey and provided me the necessary thrill that kept my tempo going. Besides these provide a glimpse into the economic and social life of Ladakh people.

As matter of fact, I have listed few of the major safaris in India. Atleast, I had a very good experience while trying the different safaris. It was not only fun but I came to know lot more about the land.

Jeep Safari
Rajaji National Park, Corbett National Park and Dudhwa National Park in U.P and Gir National Park in Gujarat are known for Jeep Safari. You will get a whole new Jungle experience in these sanctuaries while moving about in a jeep.

Elephant Safari
Corbett National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park, Kaziranga National Park are the major elephant safari sites.

Motorbike Safari
Various travel agencies arrange motor bike safaris in leh, Manali and Rohtang Pass. However, it is not that at one place only one type of Safari is available. For example Horse safari, elephant safari, and cycles are available to Corbett Park. There are different safaris available, but it is the famous safaris of the place that the tourists hire to explore the place.
