For me it was like dream come true to explore Mount Everest, the highest mountain range in the world. Well, this was one span of time when I captured some of the well known peaks in my camera.

To my amusement this region contains nine of the worlds fourteen highest mountain peaks, Nepal is a true Himalayan kingdom. The Himalayas covered the three-fourth of the land of Nepal. Well, another astonishing factor that came in front of me was that north of Nepal runs the Great Himalayan range in the Himalayan system.

Due to high altitude, this region is favorable for cultivation. As a matter of fact these mountains are terraced and cut for cultivation providing livelihood to the locals.

While my trip to Himalyan region of Nepal, I happened to cover the famous Annapurna circuit. The circuit is a 200 mile journey around the Annapurna Himal, up the Marsyangchi River valley to Thorong La Pass and To Khali Ghandaka river valley.This is the most popular trekking circuit in Nepal. I liked it's easy accessibility, plentiful hotels along trekking routes and breathtaking scenery of both high mountains and lowland villages.

The Nepal Himalayas was somewhat overwhelming for me at first, but soon I was comfortable with the surroundings. I was mesmerized by the beauty of the Himalayas of this region as it endorsed the cultivable lowlands, glacier worn inner valleys to the arid , high desert trans Himalayan region.
