History of Himalayas
A mountain range that was created by the virtue of geographic transition are the mighty Himalayas. A huge landmass called Pangea segregated into Asia and Himalayas were created.

Creation of the Almighty!
On the Second night of my stay in the Himalayas, my mind pondered on the very fact how Himalayas came into existence. The Himalayas is the spectacle of awesome dimension....that is beyonds one imagination. How were they created?. I thought. Full night, I had dreams of my snowy Himalayas. Next Morning, I got up and headed towards the tourist office to collect some brochures and to my amusement, one of the brochures had the history written about the Himalayas.

Unveiling the History!!
After going through the brochures, I came to know two hundred fifty million years ago, India, Africa, Australia and South America were all one continent known as Pangea. Over the next several million years this giant southern continent proceeded to break up, forming the continent we know today.

To my astonishment Pangea essentially turned inside out, the edges of the old continent becoming the collision zones of the new continents Africa, South America and Antartica began to fragment.

After 60 million years , the Indian and the Asian plates drifted northwards and welded along this suture zone forming the great Himalayas.
