The word "Glaciers", instantly invoked a lot of desire to know more about them . All I had to do was to open my dictionary and turn its pages to know the exact meaning. 'Glaciers.... Glaciers' I murmured while forming peculiar images of this place in my mind. Ah! Glaciers means an when accumulated snow become ice, Glaciers are created.

Thankfully, I visited Himalayas in winter season and this enhanced my tour by manyfold. It somewhat added the tinge that I was looking for. Being an adventurer, it made me explore the various facets of Himalayan glaciers. The major Himalayan glaciers are Siachen glacier, Baltoro Glacier, Biafo glacier, Nubra glacier and Hispur Glacier. Incidently, most of these glaciers falled in Jammu and Kashmir state at Karakoram range.

Each one of them was so unique yet they were quite alike. It was very difficult for me to find any vegetation over there. And if I talk about coldness, it was enough to numb your body. It was terrible to take a step over there but I somehow managed to keep my nerves straight.to move on. It was deifinitely a delightful experience and I loved every bit of it.

Slowly and steadily I happened to discover not one not two but four major glaciers of Himalayas. They have no roads and chances of getting lost are more but the fun you would have here is something which you should not miss to experience.
