The Himalayas were explored by Arnold and
his friends from Austria in January 2004.
In all their majesty and glory High above the clouds they tower Beneath them in the valley The orchids and primulas flower -Sheila Swann After finishing my exams, I had nothing interesting to do. Most of my friends enrolled themselves into computer courses and few went to their relatives. Since I am adventurous by nature I didn't like the idea of spending my holidays this way. So bunch of my adventurous friends sat down and thought about spending our holidays in the best way possible. We had tried scuba diving, para gliding, Racing Cars.............What else remains. Arnold! Trekking..... We haven't tried this exclaimed my friend John. Ya! This is an ultimate idea of adventure I said. And nowhere in the world, other than Himalayas came to our mind. Snowy white! So three of us landed on the snowy, rocky land of Himalayas. Himalayan range covers the northern part of India, nestling five major states of the country within it. I was impressed by the snowcapped peaks. As I was going through net, I came to know that these mountain ranges stretches 2,700 km across an area between Assam and Kashmir. After reading the entire Site, I got to know that my friends and I could enroll ourself to different adventures offered by the majestic white Himalayas. It offered us trekking, mountaineering, Skiing and camping. The Wild of Fauna!! I was acquainted with the fact that Himalayan region had few major wildlife sanctuaries of India. To name few, the Corbett National Park, Great Himalayan National park, The Royal Chitawan National park and more. Apart from adventure and wildlife, this region is also known for its unique pilgrimage destination. |
