Although I had tried trekking in US, but trekking in Himachal Pradesh was quite unique...there was something that was different. I thoroughly enjoyed trekking in Himachal Pradesh. As I collected information about trekking, I came to know that April May is the best time to trek for low altitutde trekking and June to October is the best season to trek. After trying the various trekking routes, today I can say that Himachal Pradesh is a paradise for trekkers.

As a matter of fact, Himachal pradesh have shorter trekking routes as well as it has a tougher option. And as I am brave heart, I tried the tougher one first. I engaged myself in the 4-day trek dealing the Indrahar Pass. The trek originates at Dharamsala, high above the artistic traditions of the Kangra school and descends to Chunarta near Brahmour.

I found that some of them were quite tough. And I would have not tried them, if I was not in good physical conditions to brave them. The Kugti, Chobia and Kalicho passes on the Pir Panjal range tie up with the Miyar nala in the Chenab valley and Lahoul, providing choices along the east fork to the Rohtang pass and Manali on the west road to Keylong, Baralacha pass and Leh.

Through research, I came to know that Himachal Pradesh is surrounded by four mountain ranges that stands parallel to one another. This created number of passes and and trekking routes in Himachal Pradesh.

"One of the Himachal's classic routes is the Chandra-Bhaga triangle and the Bara Lacha Pass."reported a fellow trekkers. He also told me that it has a number of entry points and exits enabling many combinations.

Once I finished heavy trekking, walking on smaller routes was not at all, a difficulty for me. Walking along the Parvati to the secluded village at Pulga or excursion on Manikaran was not a big deal for me. I did that for fun and believe me! I had a lot of fun and frolic while walking on these paths.
