The beautiful narration on Himachal Pradesh is
given by Arthur D'Souza from France. He explored the snowy
Himachal in Feburary 2004.
Wow! I can never be short of words if I have to speak about Himachal Pradesh. This is one trip that I can never forget. As I go back in flash of time, I recall the fun I had during that period. My visit to Himachal Pradesh was for a business purpose and what I got through it, was all incidental. Himachal Pradesh is surrounded by Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Tibet. Himachal Pradesh is girdled by the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges in the northwest, dominated by the great Himalayas in the northeast, and marked with lower ridges of the Shivalik ranges in the southeast. Usually, I don't love traveling but the beauty of the hill stations in Himachal was such that I almost got hypnotized by the natural miracles that inhabited..................... the land of wonders. Himachal have many things to give. Famous for its hill station, the land also offers other things that are as exotic---I am talking about the sports that it endorses Boy! I had a good time trying the various adventorous sports that included skiing, trekking, mounatineering, river rafting. What to say!! the land boosted Heli Skiing. I never imagined that I would be able to enjoy such a lovely trip that will remain all my life. The land also boosted many wildlife parks and sanctuaries. Since I am an animal lover, I visited a three -four famous wildlfe conservation santuary that included the Great Himalayan National Park, Pin Valley National Park, Manali Sanctuary. Significantly with the help of my friends wife, I came to know that the Himachal population is composed of a variety of distinctive hill tribes: Gadis, Gujaris, Kinnauris, Lahulis, Pangwalis, and Rajputs. Hindi - the official state language and Pahari are the principal languages. |
