South Indian- Hill stations
It was above my imagination that I will face the miraculous nature of the exotic hill station of south India.

Hill station of India are quite fascinating and believe me ! nobody on earth , If in India, can be far away from the beauty of these hill station. Be it north or south, hill station of India will indulge you and force you to explore them. My gang of friends, Mark , Tom, and I, visited the enticing hill station of India . Though we explored these heaven beauty at different time but yet we had a unanimous decision that South Indian hill station are as charismatic as North India. We couldn't figure it out which were the best.... they are all different yet so alike...

Since I was in South India, it was indispensable to visit the Western Ghats of South India. Since the Western Ghats comprised of the mountain range that runs along the western coast of India, from the Vindhya-Satpura ranges in the north to the southern tip, it endorsed many hill station that are worth visiting.

The range starts from Gujarat and Maharastra, and runs approximately 1600 km through the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, almost to the southern tip of the Indian peninsula. Some of the popular hill station are also found in the western edge of India to the southernmost tip of the country.

As far as the number of hill station on western Ghats are concerned the list is endless. But I tried that on my tour I should cover all most all the major hill station. And the hill station that I explored on my tour to South India were:

  • Ooty, ( Tamil Nadu)
  • Kodaikanal, (Nilgiri)
  • Kemman gundi, (Karnataka)
  • Munnar, (Kerala)
  • Nelliyampathy, (Kerala)
  • Coorg, ( Karnataka)
Ooty was one of my favorite hill station. Interestingly, these were amongst the very first few hill station that I explored. And Gosh Man! I was overwhelmed by the bounteous beauty of the mother nature in this region. Falling in Tamil Nadu, Ooty have attracted tourist for more that hundreds of decades. In fact, I also loved Munnar in Kerala. The rhythms of romance flow here like the ripples in pond enclosed by the bars of dreamy mountains.I felt as if they are asking me to behold the blue sky with the adoration to embrace nature. Modestly, all the hill station on the western ghats were a beauty and a must seek for all the travelers looking out for perfect holiday destination.
