Hill Stations
The snow clad peaks and and the cool hill station are the popular resorts amongst the Indian as well as foreign tourists.

For past one month, I was in India exploring its vast geographical dimensions. Believe it or not! India is truly a paradise that beautify the earth surface with its gems. I was quite impressed by the hill station that India boost... In fact I should say that I adored them. I got an opportunity to do so many things on these enchanting hill station endorsed by the enchanting state.India is one place where tourists from all over the world to encounter the mystical nature encompassing snow capped mountains, blooming vallleys, sea resorts, dense forests, rolling rivers. All these and more make India a precious gem on the world map.

Away from the dust and din of the cities these hill station provide scenic beauty and a tinge of freshness rejuvenating soul and mind from the coal clad city life. Though we talk a lot about the picturesque hill station and its bounteous beauty but we pay less importance in sustaining the beauty of such places. As a tourist it is our moral responsibility to look after the mesmerizing beauty gifted to us by Jesus.

In words!
Since this was the first time I came to India, I didn't had much idea about its exotic hill station. For this, I had to consult a travel book "Hill station of India" by Gillian Wright. The book provided me in depth knowledge about the various hill station that the endearing India boosted. But..... But... after going through the book I was more confused. Now the problem was which one to choose??? Where should I began my journey from.

I was quite surprised to know that India has seven principal mountain ranges and the largest of all is the Himalayas that lies in the northern part of India. Then there is Shivalik range that also lies within the same region has some famous hill stations that includes Dalhousie, Kullu, Shimla, Nanital and many more. I especially liked Himachal Pradesh, within the Himalayan range that endorse wonderful hill stations, which are particularly cool in summers. Shimla, Dalhousie, Kullu, Manali and Kufri are a few of the hill Stations in Himachal Pradesh which offer breathtaking scenery and countless options of adventure sports.

Mr. Arthur, a dear friend, explored Himachal Pradesh last year has given his experiences on many hill station of Himachal Pradesh like Kullu, Shimla, Dalhousie, Manali.

Towards Northeast!
Through the book, I got to know that the north east region of India, comprises seven sisters including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya and Mizoram. According to the book, the major Himalayan destination over here is Arunachal Pradesh.

Moving South!
Another region boosted by Indian land is the Western Ghats, a chain of mountains running from Bombay to the southern tip of India. The range starts from Gujarat and Maharastra, and runs approximately 1600 km through the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, almost to the southern tip of the Indian peninsula. Some of the popular hill station are also found in the western edge of India to the southernmost tip of the country. Ooty, Kodaikanal are few of the exotic hill station down south.

Interestingly, Mr Steven from Kerala has beautifully described Munnar and his enthralling experience.
