When I came to India, now where I had such intentions that I'll only cover the heritage cities of India. My only motive was to explore enchanting India - a land of beautiful people and enthralling culture. In fact, today, I consider myself lucky that I was able to explore some endearing cities that were a part of great legacy in the past.

The Great Legacy!
The first one off course was Delhi... Yes! Delhi. You must be thinking how come the capital city of India be a part of Heritage cities, but it is. Even I was surprised by the very fact but soon I came to know the reason behind that. The city has some exotic monuments to boost that I covered during my stay in India. Jama Masjid, Old fort, Red fort, Qutub Minar are few monuments to name.

Another fascinating place that I explored in my trip to India was Rajasthan. Probably, this is one of the finest places in India having many forts and palaces that are of great architectural significance. Within Rajasthan, I saw Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Udaipur and many other cities that beholds the enchanting saga of the past. .

Classifying Cities!!
It is generally very difficult to classify cities, since all of them have some or the other monumental heritage to show. Initially, even I had a problem, but with the help of good guide and travel books, I was able to distinguish between them.

Personally, I feel a journey to India is not complete, if Khajuraho is not there in your itinerary. The city boost the famous Khajuraho temples, the sculptures that beautifully depicts passion in the form of stones.

The other cities that I covered during my stay were Varanasi, Gwalior and Orcha. All of them rich in monuments and historical past. I consider all these cities as treasure and its memories will remain for a very long period of time.. no matter what?. In fact my tip to India became more special as I covered the phenomenal World Heritage Sites of India.
