The Discovery!
Well! there was one place where my friend, Steven , insisted me to go-
That is Vasco- Da- Gama. Not because the place has many tourist
attaraction, but because the history it holds...the history that dates
back to 500 yrs when Vasco-Da - Gama, a invader , visited India , with
four ships and 171 men and laid his own Portuguese dynasty in the
region.
Since the time was less , we decided to cover Vasco-Da- Gama just after
Panaji. It took us approx 45 minutes to reach the place from Panaji.
This time we took a bus from Panaji and it dropped us at Interstate
Kadamba Terminus. Here the local ferries takes one to different
destination within Panaji.
Unveiling the City!!
The Blue water
The place had an exotic coastline especially the Bogmalo Beach, which
is amongst the famous beaches in Goa. The cool breeze coming from the
pristine water instilled a beautiful romantic feelings within me.
Museum of its own
Another spot which I found good was The Naval Aviation Museum, one of
the first in Asia. The museum showcases the history of Indian Naval
Aviation, various aircraft, weapons, sensors and safety equipment.
A stay!!!
Since it was late to return to my resort, I thought of night stay at
Vasco-Da- Gama. Although there are many hotels and resorts in Goa but I
chose GTDC Tourist Hostel for my stay.
