Goa
Goa is a splendor to comprehend and I learned from my visit that this splendor was very in comprehensive as Goan horizons seems to be real but are virtual when come close to them.
Mr. Mark Joesph from California has beautifully described the sensuous paradise of India-Goa, that he explored during his visit to India in December 2003.

The Serene Heavenly Abode!
Goa is a beautiful paradise where blue water, silvery sand and long coconut trees conceals the natural beauty of the city. Goa reflects the ultimate benediction of mother nature. This immortally blessed land pulsates with vibrancy and equates with romance. The magic of nature plays mysterious pranks as heavenly breeze sways a weary mind swifts.

A Wonderland !
My experiences in Goa are truly memorable and cherishable. If I had not visited this place, I surely would have missed something. Specially my visit to the Churches and other religious spots of reverence indeed infused a spiritual sprite that endowed me with the glimpses of history.

Natural fascination towards there splendid architectural relics was evident in every move I made. As my enthusiasm grew with every passing moment I discovered Goa, further. Divine grace and purity showered upon me as I aspired to explore this echoing land.

Apart from the rich legacy of Churches in Goa, the place also endorses exotic beaches. The beaches stretches the contours of magic on the white sands. As I progressed further, I could discover a world of dream and unimaginable coming alive

The Story Begins
Just a week before the new year, I had no idea that my luck would take me to a heavenly place like.... Goa..an enchanting abode of the blue waters silvery sand and lush greens...where all boundation break loose.....

Although one of my friends, Steven D'souza- who had been to goa, did insist me to visit Goa earlier, but some how I never felt like. After reaching the spot, I was completely bowled over by nature's beauty that still rules the planet.

The Actual Path
Goa is a well connected place and has links to all the major cities through railheads and airways. I chose upon Indian airlines to reach this popular holiday destination as it was the best way to save time, which I utilized judiciously.

My Resort
I humbly followed my friend ,Steven D'souza, advise to stay at South Goa , since this place is in close vicinity to airport and railway station. From number of choices, I singled out Majorda Beach Resort, a buisness hotel, close to the city centre and shopping centre. I could easily see the influence of Portuguese heritage that ruled the state for many years, within the hotel and outside too. The state was built more on the lines of portugese and goan style.

Experience the magic of white sand!
How could I forget to visit the seductive beaches!!!!! Walking barefoot on the lustrous sands, the cool breeze from the blue and a sip of coconut braught me to another level where I could only sense the beauty around. Since I was not interested in sun bath , I resorted to a shack nearby , (SHACKS are easily avialable on all the beaches) that provided me with shelter to stay away from sun and enjoy the cool breeze. One of my favourite shack was Planet Goa at Calangute beach, where I was well attended. In this my local guide,Adeesh Narayan, helped me to judiciously choose the beaches in Goa.Some of the other beaches where I grooved upon were Anjuna Beach, Calgunate beach, Baga Beach and Majorda Beach.

Sacred Christ
Being a relegious person, I could not have missed the churches which goa is famous for.The first church that I visited was the Church of Our Lady Rosary in Panaji. Adeesh told me that this is one of the oldest church in Goa. And after my visit to this synagogue, I could not resist exploring the other churches like Church of St. Francis of Assisi ,The Se Cathedral,Basilica of Bom Jesus. My guide, Adeesh, was a real help in informing about these churches . Since Goa is famous for Churches, I decided to cover few churches which mainly lie in Old Goa. Popularly known as Rome of the East, Old Goa has been declared as a World Heritage site by UNESCO and today is the state 's main cultural attraction. Adeesh told me that Christians are especially attracted to Old Goa as it holds the most precious monument...Tomb of St Francis Xavier. .

Delectable Cuisines
By evening, I was easily able to feel the butterflies in my stomach. So to fill in I relished myself with Konkani and Portuguese dishes that were easily available.

Nightlife in Goa
While discussing my trip to Steven, my friend, I came to know about Calanguate beach . And I planned that I would visit the Calanguate beach in the evening. As New Year was around , the beach had enough space to accommodate the large number. As I entered the beach I found many bars and restaurants, which were quite cheap and reasonable. To my astonishment the nightlife in Goa is quite tame, the shacks and the bars closes at around 10 in night.
