The Char Dham Yatra or the four pilgrimages are an important zones in Hindu religion. Significantly, it is during April till November season, when the Chardham Temples are open in the Garhwal Hills, direct buses connect from Rishikesh Bus Stand are available to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. As I surveyed the land, I found out that the journey or the yatra is done from the west to the east starting from Yamunotri, then proceeding to Gangotri & finally to Kedarnath & Badrinath. Yamunotri & Gangotri fall under Uttarkashi district in Garhwal region of Uttaranchal. Badrinath falls under Chamoli & also house three out of five Panch Kedar, Panch Badris, Sacred Sikh shrine of Hemkund Sahib, skiing paradise. Auli & the legendary Valley of Flowers. The holy pilgrimage of Kedarnath nestles in Rudraprayag. |
