Few months back I was planning to take my family for a beach tour of India. When I looked for options, they were many. It was getting tougher and tougher to make a choice among the various family beaches in India. Finally it boiled down to beaches of Kerala as my family members wanted serene and secluded place away from the hubbub of city life.

We took a flight to Trivandrum from New Delhi. After reaching Trivandrum we checked in a hotel. Rest of the day was passed in rest and sleep. Next day early morning we started our mission “Explore Kerala”. In our one weeks stay in Kerala we not only explored beaches but also other attractions of Kerala. We visited

Kerala beaches have a character unique. Cool, saline breeze blowing on the coconut groves along the coast would function as a balm to an agitated soul. We visited Kovalam beach, Varkala Papanasam beach, Alleppey. We had enough water sports, boat cruises and ate various types of food. We visited churches, temples, and shopped extensively.

This trip to kerala and the Ayurvedic messages have not only rejuvenated our bodies but also minds. All of our family members have developed a new chemistry and are now more close to each other. But it is not the Keralan beaches that have this magical power of invigorating the souls. There are other beaches that are equally good if not superior. These are:

Juhu Beach, Mumbai, Maharashtra
