Temples in Assam
It was indeed a pleasure for me to explore the bounteous nature of Assam. I almost had an blast as an when I explored this unique destination.

Exploring the revered destination of Assam was indeed a pleasure and I still remember how one after another I unearth the beauty of Assam. Though I am an atheist, yet something within me indulged a passion to explore these sacred places. Being one of the major attractions of Assam is the Kamakhya Temple, on the Nilachal hill, where Goddess Kamakhya is worshiped. The temple offers a fabulous view of the city and the mighty Brahmaputra.

Umananda temple was another sacred place that I explored during my Assam tour. The deity of the temple was Shiva which was located in the middle of the Brahmaputra River near Guwahati and said to be one of the smallest human inhabited river island in the world. The presence of few Golden Langoor attracts visitors to this temple.

In fact, another temple that I explored were Navagraha Temple or the temple of the nine celestial bodies, located in the south eastern part of Guwahati in Assam, on a hill by name Citrasaala.
