Manas national park is a respledent beauty and is one of the World heritage site located in Assam.

Another national park that I covered during my visit to Assam was Manas National Park. " Do you have an idea, how far Manas national park is from this place? " I asked one of the native. " Ya! if I am not wrong then it is around 176 kms " said the person.

Located in the foothills of Bhutan hills, far from human habitation, Manas National Park is designated as the World Heritage Site. Manas National park is a resplendent beauty of Assam, and thereby is attracts lots of tourist from all over the world.

Home to a great variety of wildlife, including Tiger, Golden Langur, Wild Buffalo, Hispid Hare, Pigmy Hog, Capped Langur, Indian one-horned Rhinoceros, Elephant, Gaur, Hog Deer, etc.

Spanning over an area 519.77 Sq. Kms, Manas national park is one of the nine tiger reserve of India. As I took each step into the jungle, I came closer and closer to the vivacious nature of the park. Housing more than 20 endangered species, unearthing the beauty of Manas national Park was one of the best thing that I did on my tenure.

Manas National Park Assam offers some of the most eye-pleasing natural surroundings in the country. As I entered the park, I found that the place is an heavenly abode and is a must visit during Assam tour. October to April are the best seasons to explore the exotic flora and fauna of the national park.

It was a pleasure for me to explore this scenic destination of Assam as it houses the Red Panda, and many other species of animal. The national park is a treasure trove for ornithologist. As this place houses many bird species - resident and migratory. Some of these are Giant Hornbills, Jungle Fowls, Bulbuls, Brahminy Ducks, Khaleej Pheasants, Egrets, Pelicans, Fishing Eagles, Serpent Eagles, Falcons, Scarlet Minivets, Bee-Eaters, Magpie Robins, Pied Hornbills, Gray Hornbills, Mergansers, Harriers, Ospreys and Herons.
