Vishakapatnam was the nearest destination from Vijayawada. The city is 382 kms from Vijayawada. It took me around 5 hrs to reach this place. Being a well known destination, Vishakapatnam is the port city which is known for its natural harbour. Vishakapatnam is linked with rail, road and air. Vishakapatnam airport is well connected to all the major cities of India.

In Vishakapatnam, I resorted to a good deluxe hotel. Since the place is quite popular amongst tourists, it boasted a number of hotels. These hotels belonged to varied category and range. One can get the best according to his or her needs.

The hotel that I resorted to was near the beach and my room overlooked the coastline. " Wow! the room is just fab! I just love it." I exclaimed. I was so tired by the time I reached my hotel that I planned to cancel all my travel plans for that day. I slept all the day and got up and did some research for the next day.

As I searched on net, I found Vishakapatanam is the hub for shipping activities. The abode is the right place where you can find all the charm of Andhra. Temples, Monuments and Culture, all this makes Vishakapatanam a kinda place to explore. The city is the second largest city of Andhra Pradesh and captures some of the famous tourist spots which are worth exploring.

Kailasagiri, Rishikonda Beach, Ramakrishna Beach and Indira Gandhi Zoological Park are some of the well known destination of Vishakapatnam. The blue water of Vishakapatanam are enchanting and attracts tourists from all over the world.

I specially liked the Rishikonda beach that boasted a good environs and lures skiers, surfers and swimmers. Also known as the Vizag, the city forms a perfect destination for Buddhist pilgrim, fun lovers and adventure seekers.
