From Warangal, my next destination was Vijayawada. Just 257 kms from Hyderabad, Vijayawada was yet another enticing destination which made my foray to Andhra Pradesh a worth while experience.

Though the city is so near, yet I faced lot many problems in moving. Basically I decided to travel through bus and hence created a problem. Though the decision was not so bad as I opted for a deluxe bus with AC . The thing which didn't favoured me was my luck.

My bus broke down in between and I had to wait for two long hrs to get it done. Those long hrs were quite heavy and but I tried to use them judiciously. The bus had many travellers - some were tourists, other were localities.

I thought why not to speak to them. " Hi, I am Mr Rhodes. I am here for the first time. I think it will take time for the bus to get repaired." " Ya. I am Shankar Krishnamurthy. You are from which state? You are here for exploring." he asked.

" Ya. I am here to tour Andhra Pradesh." I replied. " Great Thought! What all have you seen?" he further enquired. " Not much, but yes! I have covered cities like Hyderabad and Warangal." I answered back.

" Hmm.... both are beautiful cities of Andhra Pradesh. So you are heading towards yet another enticing city - Vijayawada. The city Vijayawada is a home to many cave temple. These caves temples were formed during the times when Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu were worshipped."

"Who are Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu ?" I asked " Oh! They both are Hindu Gods." He replied. Then we kept on talking about the culture of our state. And the next moment, I was in Vijayawada. There were number of attractions in Warangal that I could have explored, but as I wanted the best on my trip I resorted to just few.

Prakasam Barrage, Bhavani Island, Kanaka Durga Temple and Undavalli Caves were the few major attractions which I explored on my trip to Vijayawada. Out of all, Krishna wildlife Sanctuary and some temple of Vijayawada holds important place in my heart.
