In Andhra Pradesh, you have nothing to loose. And this is what I exactly did, I added lot many memories of the place by exploring Andhra Pradesh. Temples form a great part of Andhra Pradesh heritage. The two that I explored first were Rammappa Temple and the Thousand Pillar Temple in Warangal. Rammapa temple stands on a 6 feet high platform and have number of sub shrines enclosed in its vicinity. Then the Thousand Pillar Temple was another exclusive temple of Andhra Pradesh. It had not one or two but Thousand Pillars. Then in Tirupati, I paid my homage to one of the most renowned hindu pilgrim destination - Tirupati Balaji. Then the Padmavati Devi Temple was another revered zone of Andhra Pradesh that I explored. There are number of temples in Andhra Pradesh. The list is somewhat endless. But I happened to choose few on my Andhra Pradesh tour and all of them were just awesome. The temple architecture of Andhra Pradesh helped me to take a glimpse into its past. It is very difficult to comprehend all of them on one page as it an experience to be felt rather than read. I would recommend to visit Tirupati Balaji and spectacle how much belief people have on Idol and God. |
