Spectacular! This was awesome as I came across the most beautiful zone of Andhra Pradesh.

The first place that I explored was the Indira Gandhi zoological park. This was one thing that I loved to do. I was a wildlife enthusiast but unfortunately I was not able to explore any of the wildlife until I was in Andhra.

By that time I entered Vishakapatnam, I already covered many wildlife destination within Andhra which included Sri Venkateshwara Sanctuary, Krishna Wildlife Sanctuary, Deer Park.

Exploring them increased my anticipation and anxiety, so when I had to explore Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, I was quite enthused. After all why not? the beauty of Andhra Pradesh wildlife was such that anybody on earth can get attracted.

There are many tourist spots in Bangalore that could be explored especially the gardens- Lal Bagh. The Bangalore palace is also worth watching.Spanning over an area of 625 acres of land, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park boast an exotic flora and fauna. Since the park remains opened from 9 AM to 5 PM, I got up early and was in the sanctuary by 10 AM. The zoo is closed on Monday.

Through pamphlets and booklets, I came to know that there are around 80 species of animals. Oh! that means I have lot many mammals to capture in my camera., I thought.

Indeed, I was quite impressed by this park and was quite comparable to the best zoos of the world.

This is the list of fauna that you can see on your tour to Indira Gandhi Zoological Park:

Carnivores : Panthers, tigers, lions, pumas, jaguars, wolves, jackals, hyena, ratle etc.
Reptiles: Pythons, Tortoise, terrapins, Monitor lizards
Herbivores: Elephant, Bison, Sambar, Spotted deer, and Thamin deer Birds : Grey/ Rosy pelicans, Pied horn bills, painted storks, peacocks, ducks, love birds, cockateels and other ground birds.

Oof! You won't belive, I got tired moving from one place to another and capturing their images. " Sir, I think we should pack up and move to next tourist spot." my guide said.

Right! " I said. Though I never wanted to leave, but had to. The next tourist spot that I was about to explore was Rishikonda Beach - one of the famous beaches of Andhra Pradesh.
