Being the only son of an International airline pilot, my father used to tell me stories about different parts of the world including India. And since then, I was quite fascinated about India and had a desire to explore it once. And when I was 30, my dream came true, as I got the oppurtunity to visit, infact stay in India for one year, for some official purpose.

Honestly, it was a pleasure for me to explore the enchanting dimensions of the country - culture, heritage, festivals, pilgrimage and adventure- all encompassed in one land - India. Since I was in India from September 2001 to October 2002, it was delight for me to come across a different but precious culture of India.

Before moving towards India, I was quite skeptical about my venture as I was from different background. I was reluctant and had many questions in my mind, but as I explored India all my doubts were cleared and I found the abode, quiet enchanting.

India is a vast country endorsing many tourist destination that are worth exploring. Initially, the enchanting heaven was visited by some of my friends and as they spoke about India, I was quite impressed and overwhelmed by their experiences and decided to accumulate their and my knowledge on India in the form of INDIATRAVELOG - an exhaustive travel guide on India, narrated by travelers who experienced India during their exploration. INDIATRAVELOG is catalogue of everything Indian, presenting different shades of India ranging from - Indian religions, festivals, Indian Cities, Indian states, monuments, costumes, music and dance, language and literature.

Being modest to my friends, they all shared their views and beautifully narrated different parts of India and helped me to conceptualize and formalize INDIATRAVELOG. Since most of my friends - Tom Jeff, Mark Joseph, Arthur D'souza and other travelers are foreign citizens, they all were not sure about their trip to India. But as when they landed on the paradise, they were welcomed by the amenable people and nurtured by their culture. Today, they store some beautiful memories about India that they cherish from time to time.

In fact, I must say that very few countries in the world, have stored and maintained an ancient and diverse culture and heritage as India's. Stretching back in an unbroken sweep over 5000 years, India's culture has been enriched by successive waves of migration which were absorbed into the Indian way of life.
